Salary: £41,000 - £43,000 per annum

Location: Bristol (hybrid)

Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday 9am - 5:30pm

About the role

We are looking for a Content Marketing Manager to lead a content strategy that builds our audiences, drives engagement, and supports our broader marketing goals.

Taking a holistic view of our content and making sure each format serves a purpose within, and nurtures our customers through, the customer journey. You will build communities through our storytelling, keep those communities coming back, and nurture them towards a trip in one of our destinations.

Managing our content team, and ensuring a cohesive brand voice throughout, you will oversee a diverse range of content types, including articles, videos, photography, campaigns, infographics, guidebook, and SEO focused content. You will also oversee the migration of content from our old websites to our new, happening in Summer 2025. 


You should have a strong analytical background utilising tools to track content performance across various channels. Interpret data to understand what best resonates with our audiences and refine strategies based on key performanceindicators like audience size, engagement, and conversion rates.

Wider Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a content marketing strategy that aligns with our brand and drives audience engagement.

  • Liaise with our SEO agency to implement optimisations and improve search engine rankings. 

  • Building a variety of audiences at each stage of the customer journey from initial awareness to conversion and creating content that moves people through that journey. 

  • Monitor and analyse content performance to optimise and improve results.

  • Reporting on audience growth and engagement as primary metrics, alongside a variety of secondary metrics including organic search rankings, conversion rates, and site bounce rates. 

  • Facilitate the required content migration from our old sites to our new.  

  • Stay informed about industry trends whilst building a content strategy that is industry leading. 

  • Work closely with the wider marketing  and sales teams to ensure content aligns with customer journeys and business objectives.

  • Progress our website's rich content towards the goal of becoming the Ultimate Guidebook of the 21st Century.

About you 

You are a strategically focused creative; as comfortable discussing the importance of colour use in our visual identity as you are writing keyword focused articles. You should have a strong command of data and how to value content marketing. You’re able to think holistically about how every piece of content fits together within the customer journey. You’re a big picture thinker but don’t mind rolling up your sleeves and creating content with the team when needed.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in developing and managing content marketing strategies.

  • Leadership experience

  • Proficiency in managing the content marketing budget

  • Strong grasp of audience engagement and content’s role in the customer journey.

  • Exceptional storytelling and communication skills.

  • Ability to collaborate across teams and adapt to dynamic needs.

  • Ideally have experience working in the travel sector.

Employment details

Salary: 

  • Salary of £41,000 - £43,000 depending on experience

Holiday:

  • Twenty-five days paid holiday, in addition to your birthday and public holidays 

Working Hours:

  • Full-time, 37.5 hours per week. Monday to Friday

Location - Hybrid:

  • A mix of remote work and office time in our Bristol location.  This allows for flexibility while ensuring opportunities for in-person collaboration and team connection
