About the role
We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Sales Manager to lead our global team of Adventure Travel Sales Consultants and Specialists. This is a Monday to Friday role, with working hours of 12:00 midday to 8:30pm to support our international customer base.
You will play a pivotal role in driving global sales growth, coaching and developing a high-performing remote team, and ensuring service excellence across diverse markets. As the leader of a distributed team, you will bring strong financial acumen and the ability to interpret KPIs and P&L to inform strategy. With excellent cross-cultural communication skills, you will motivate and engage a virtual workforce, foster collaboration, and inspire results.

Key responsibilities
Lead, coach, and develop a global team of Travel Sales Consultants and Specialists, fostering a culture of high performance, engagement, and continuous learning
Drive global sales performance by setting clear targets, monitoring KPIs, and interpreting P&L to inform commercial strategy
Shape and execute sales strategies that balance customer-centric excellence with ambitious growth goals
Build strong cross-cultural relationships across the global team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration in a remote, virtual environment
Negotiate confidently and manage key stakeholders to secure sustainable commercial outcomes
Oversee the effective use of CRM systems, reporting tools, and analytics to optimise team performance and decision-making
Represent Swoop as a global leader in adventure travel, with a willingness to travel internationally
Understand and embody Swoop’s four sustainability priorities and embed in your day-to-day responsibilities, decision making, and collaboration
About you
Experienced senior sales leader, ideally with a background in the cruise or travel industry
Proven track record of delivering global sales growth and managing remote, distributed teams
Commercially astute, with strong financial acumen and the ability to interpret KPIs and P&L to shape strategy
Coaching and people-focused leadership style, with success in building and motivating high-performing teams
Excellent cross-cultural communicator with the ability to inspire and engage a diverse global workforce
Skilled negotiator and influencer, with strong stakeholder management and a customer-centric mindset
Proficient in CRM systems, analytics, and reporting tools, with flexibility to travel internationally
A strategic thinker and commercial innovator, with a global mindset and cultural sensitivity to drive sustainable growth
Employment details
Holiday:
25 days paid holiday, in addition to your birthday and public holidays
Working Hours:
Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Monday to Friday 12 midday - 8.30pm (with occasional flexibility required to support your global team)
Working Arrangements:
Remote - This role is primarily remote, but we value face-to-face interactions for collaboration, training and team building. Occasional visits to Bristol office may be required.
